Dr. David Cwir joins the Psychology faculty at Briercrest College.

“I am passionate about the integration of faith and learning and enjoy the challenge of teaching and mentoring students who bring diverse perspectives from their own life experiences. I consider it a privilege to work at Briercrest College where I can teach psychology while continuing to do what I find most rewarding—awakening a passion and excitement for Jesus Christ in students while they learn.”

After David completed his Ph.D. in Social Psychology at the University of Waterloo (2011), he attended a Christian School of Ministry at Bethel Church in Redding, California.

Upon completion of his ministry training, he accepted a position as an assistant professor of psychology at Tyndale University

David and his wife Trisha then planted a church in Ottawa, Ontario where he served as a pastor for over two years.

Before joining the faculty at Briercrest College, David worked as an assistant professor of psychology at Booth University College

David began teaching a full course load in January 2022, and will move to Caronport with his wife Trisha this summer. They are both looking forward to joining the ministry of guiding “spiritual and intellectual formation for lives of service.”
